It’s 2010 already! The Los Amigos Board of Directors wishes all our members and their families a wonderful and hopeful one. May this be the year the world finds peace and prosperity.

2009 was a busy and good year for our club. Your BOD has served our club above and beyond in many ways. We have a BOD member who will not be on our BOD for 2010, Tammy Hernandez. She gave our membership outstanding service and the club fresh ideas, and I wish to personally thank her for their spirit and help. Joining Joline, Andres, Dianna and Charlotte is Danell Adams. All are committed to promotion of our breed and working together as a team to get it done.

The 29th Annual Los Amigos Championship Show, the largest single regional show in the US, is in the planning stages. We are excited to have Sr. Renzo Crolle as our judge. We are moving back to a three day format. Stay tuned for a new premium list with some exciting new classes, fun extras for both Juniors and adults!

The Los Amigos Annual Showcase will be professional published with the help of Peruvian Horse Quarterly again for 2010 and will be distributed throughout the western US. We will be publishing this in time for Fiesta of the Spanish Horse in May so it’s not too early to start thinking about your ad!

After years of amazing service to Los Amigos, Debbie Pye has handed the reins to our new newsletter Editors, Joe Chandler and Bill Willis. We’re glad to hear that members are utilizing the new website as well. We’ve also added a page on Facebook so if you’re there, please join our page! If you have any questions or suggestions, our webmaster, Charlotte, can help you in that department. Thank you so much to all, as these are huge tasks but important to keep in contact with our members.

The BOD is also discussing ways to cost effectively host playdays, seminars, member get-togethers and fund promotional events throughout our region. In these economically straining times, we absolutely must stretch every member dollar to make it work for us!
